Guide: How to fix the MK7 auto down/up window feature

Someday you may find that one or more of your windows will not auto roll up or down anymore when you press the window switch quickly. First off don’t worry this can happen from time to time and nothing is likely broken. There is actually a very simple fix for this:

1. Using the window button for the malfunctioning window hold the button down until the window is fully down and continue holding it down for another 5 seconds.
2. Now pull the button up and once the window is fully up continue to hold the button for another 5 second and then release.

That should be it, your window should now be able to auto down/up correctly now.
