100k miles on the 2016 MK7 GTI DSG

Today my 2016 GTI hit 100k miles. This car has been nothing but stellar with its reliability and enjoyment. I really cant recommend this platform enough.

Here is the list of all the issues I have had during the first 100k miles

• Radio headunit died – 2k Miles – Warrantied
• Both rear window regulators replaced – 33k Miles – Warrantied
• Waterpump/Thermostat replaced – 89k Miles – Out of pocket

That’s it, there was obviously more spent on normal scheduled maintenance and due to my modifications I have opted for at 5k oil change interval instead of the recommended 10k one.

Even with my car being tuned since 28k miles and my weekend spirited drives, it has held up great.
